Vinyasa

Vinyasa is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes. The word Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.” In other words, the teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. This technique is sometimes also called Vinyasa Flow, or just Flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance.

Vibrant Flow

A fully led, heart centered vinyasa flow performed in a heated room whereby breath-synchronized movements are done to the sweet sounds of electronic dance beats. Students develop skills of concentration and patience that help focus the mind as they increase physical strength, stamina, flexibility and overall health through a dynamic practice of continuous movement that aids in cleansing and purifying the body by flushing wastes and toxins. The class can be vigorous and challenging, but always filled with love and laughter allowing you to discover your inner divine light. Prior yoga experience is beneficial, but not required.

Manipura Vinyasa

Manipura is the name of the third chakra located at the solar plexus associated with the element of fire. With today’s demanding lifestyle, it is easy to get stuck in the mundane of routine, however in order for change and transformation to occur, you need to heat things up! Manipura Vinyasa is a fully led class linking breath with artistically choreographed movements in such a way that breath creates space and openings within the body while igniting your internal fire for personal transformation. Asana (poses) sequences are created to “stir things up” in a student, while developing strength, flexibility, stamina and concentration. Students will feel challenged, empowered and energized. Manipura Vinyasa is done to music in a heated room. Prior yoga experience is helpful, but not required.

Hatha Flow Level 1/2

Traditional asanas taught where emphasis is placed on proper alignment to promote core strength, mobility, flexibility, balance, concentration and breath control. As their practice grows, students will experience a deepened understanding of personal growth and body awareness. Suitable for those new to yoga or those wanting to deepen body awareness and asana alignment.

Dynamic Flow

Vinyasa is part of a larger term, Vinyasa Krama, which means: taking a step in a special way. This is the essence of Dynamic Flow, which is an upbeat practice designed to encourage positive change in your life. In a warm room and accompanied by music, we experience a brisk, thoughtful, and intelligent progression of postures, with an emphasis on breathing and the quieting the mind..

Moonlight Flow

A dynamic sequence of asanas done to soothing music designed to calm the mind, relax and detoxify the body to prepare you for a good night’s rest allowing you to awaken energized and refreshed.

Yin

Yin Yoga is a slow, quiet practice that reaches deeply into the connective tissues of our bodies. It is a perfect compliment to any other type of yoga practice or fitness routine as it stretches and opens the areas we do not often reach. Yin yoga is beneficial for everyone; no previous yoga experience is necessary. In addition to your yoga mat, you may wish to bring a blanket, block and/or bolster to this class if you have them.

Short Form Ashtanga

Ashtanga Yoga is a traditional practice composed of a series of postures linked together with breath, creating a powerful, vigorous flow. Ashtanga Yoga strengthens and stretches the body, enhances focus and concentration, and calms the nervous system, resulting in greater health and a sense of overall well-being for the practitioner. All levels class.
